Deadpool film goes rated 'r' on April fools day
Ryan Reynolds has long been the champion on getting a Deadpool movie made. And these past few years the character has been gaining in popularity, showing up in video games, movies and cartoons. You can spot hordes of Deadpool cosplayers at comic book conventions. So, it is no surprise that he will be getting his own film now. His popularity is a its peek I think. But one thing has constantly weighed on the minds of fans. Will the movie be rated 'R' or 'PG-13'?
Personally I don't think you need to go 'R' Rated. Just look at 'The Wolverine'. Hugh Jackman's second Wolverine film was littered with violence, a generous(Not gratuitous) amount of blood and even and couple F-Bombs. All in a PG-13 movie. That being said, Reynolds has been saying that he wants an R rating, but still working it out with the studio who wants a PG-13 Rating. This all culminated on April 1st with Reynolds taking to twitter stating he is still not sure.
Now it appears we have the truth. In a fun interview with Mario Lopez aka AC Slater from Save by the Bell Deadpool himself lets us in on the skinny.
